在凉山，他们为索玛花编制了一本“家谱”

<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">1989年，大学毕业后，孙志东来到凉山州林业科学研究所（现凉山州林业草原科学研究院）工作。穿梭在凉山的茂密林间，越过广阔草甸，孙志东见惯了这里大大小小的草木植被，但每到索玛花盛开的季节，他还是会为它的美丽所震撼。</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">或许是出于科研人员本身的情怀，也或许是想留下些资料供人参考，孙志东一直想编制一份关于凉山野生杜鹃花的资料。但，这份工作要走遍凉山，需要大量资金和人力支持，做起来并不容易。</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">契机出现在2017年。那年，受气候环境影响，凉山迎来杜鹃花绽放“大年”，各色花儿竞相开放，大放异彩，引来不少游客观赏。由于当时保护措施不到位，一些杜鹃花遭到游客破坏。5月，凉山州林业局发布文件，安排凉山州林业科学研究所“摸清家底”，收集大规模可观赏性杜鹃资料，进行专业保护和开发。</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">孙志东和11名同事一起，分成三个小组，即刻出发。一个多月的时间里，他们带着标本采集器材和科研设备，通过电话和野外调查的方式，对凉山州17个县市分布的野生杜鹃花进行标本采集和资料收集整理。“正值花期的，我们就采集带有花朵的标本，未绽放的，就将枝叶带回所里，翻开《植物志》一一比对，最后编制了第一份关于凉山杜鹃花的普查报告。”</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">孙志东所说的第一份关于凉山杜鹃花的普查报告，就是《凉山州野生杜鹃花名录》。可以说，这名录，是12名科研人员“走出来”“采出来”的。</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">根据《中国植物志》记载，四川省分布的杜鹃属植物有230余种（含种下等级），相关历史资料显示，凉山州杜鹃属杜鹃种类约占四川省杜鹃花种类的三分之一，每一个县市，都有杜鹃花分布，且分布于海拔1000米至4300米的区域。这意味着，标本的收集，不会是一件轻松的事。</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">前期工作开展时，孙志东和同事们也走了一些弯路。“有些花看起来长得差不多，我们可能就会忽略，忘记采集标本。”当类似的花不断出现，一行人开始觉得不对劲。大家返回重新采集标本时，发现看似一样的花，对比后可能大相径庭。后来，孙志东和同事们每发现一处杜鹃花，第一件事就是采样。</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">后期比对和确认，则靠耐心和细致。在科研条件有限的情况下，为了确认一些细微差别的杜鹃花种类，孙志东和同事们只能先将杜鹃花标本拍下来，再在电脑上放至最大，通过对花冠、花蕊、叶形、叶背等进行一一对比，区别出不同的种类。“这个方法虽然笨，但很有效。”</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">凉山州野生杜鹃花的“家谱”，在日复一日地工作下逐渐清晰。孙志东和同事们将收集的内容，整理成9万多字的资料《凉山州野生杜鹃花名录》，记录下120种凉山野生杜鹃花的形态特征、图片、花期和分布情况。从罕见的乳黄杜鹃，到大众熟知的“映山红”，小到鳞片颜色、枝叶长度，大到所属种类及变种样式，《名录》里都可以查到。</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">《名录》编制完成的当天，孙志东很高兴。“这比我几十年写的所有可研报告和规划设计都有意义。”在他看来，做这件事的目的，是为了让大家能够深入了解凉山州的杜鹃花资源，从而实现对凉山杜鹃花进一步保护，还可以为当地文旅产业发展起到一定的参考。</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">对凉山杜鹃花的研究，没有因为《凉山州野生杜鹃花名录》的编制结束而停止。《名录》的内容，还在不断更新。</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">“这是第一份系统地归纳凉山杜鹃花的资料，虽然不太完善，但踏出了第一步。”孙志东坦言，由于标本采集时间短，《名录》里也存在不准确的地方，但他很乐意看到内容不断被完善修订，以及出现更多关于杜鹃花的研究内容，“不要怕做错，每一件事都不是完美的，科研工作者要敢于做拓荒牛，踏出第一步。”</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 15px; text-indent: 2em;">7年时间里，孙志东和同事们与凉山州史志办公室合作，在2022年出版了《凉山州索玛花图鉴》，形成第一本关于凉山杜鹃花的正式出版的书稿资料。2023年12月，其他研究杜鹃花的同行们也和他们一起出版了《四川凉山州杜鹃属植物》一书，将83种凉山州野生杜鹃属植物以更加精准的形式呈现。</p>
